Survival: The Survival Monkey Fist - 2. Version

I really enjoy making these small survival sets wrapped in a Monkey`s Fist knot: I think they are decorative and a bit unusual and they are great time-killers when I am out on the sea.

The concept never changes: Take a sturdy, round plastic container and fill it with some goodies for when the times get hard.

Here the finished Survival ball/monkey`s fist.

The sets container is a "boon ball": It is originally
made for baby food and is nearly indestructible and
made out of food-grade plastic.

What goes in: A mini BIC lighter (wrapped in 3-4 m of duct tape)
and 4 tampons for water filtration.

For a little light: glow sticks for fishing, they do not
very bright but they`ll do in an emergency.

Rolly toothbrushes, you roll them in
your mouth with the tongue to clean
your teeth.

Caffeine & glucose boosters.

4 x 500 mg paracetamol

Fishing line and hooks.

Freezer bags for water transportation.

Razor blade and magnet, I need those to

Mini ferrocerium rod (flint striker) and
a more sturdy blade as scratcher & emergency knife

All is fitted in, now...lets build a nice cage for it...

...because...

...to make make a 15 strand monkey`s fist...

...without a bit of help....

...is just painful.

VOILA!

Stunt Kite Fun

I managed to attach a "NoPro" camera between the bridles of a stunt kite and got fairly good results:
